Welcome to my homepage!

My name is Else Rasmussen. I am an educated and registered reflexologist and acupuncturist. Apart from offering treatments, I work as an SFZ instructor (SFZ stands for “Danish Association of Scandinavian Reflexologists”), and I offer private courses in reflexology, trigger point therapy and acupressure.
I also have an education as housekeeping teacher, and I teach cooking and offer diet guidance.
Last, but not least, I was chairman of SFZ 2004-2010.
In my treatments I often combine different types of treatment and guidance. Treatments are available in my in my clinic in the village of Tindbæk which is located between Randers and Viborg.
Through SFZ and PA, the Danish Association of Acupuncture Practitioners, my clinic is approved by RAB, which is the Danish official system for registration of alternative practitioners.
The health insurance company ”danmark” provides partial coverage for the expenses of reflexology treatments offered in my clinics.

Treatments
Diagnosis
When you come to my clinic for the first time, I will start writing on a personal health record. On the basis of questions and a tongue diagnosis I will make a chinese diagnosis. If you are afraid of needles, I can treat you without using acupuncture.

It goes without saying that I have duty of confidentiality towards my clients and their records.

General pain relief – back pain and dizziness
Pain in your head, back, arms and back of neck can be treated by massage suited to your individual needs. I gently adjust the back of your neck using muscle manipulation, and I also use acupuncture. It is often good for your health to use reflexology at the end of the treatment session. Long-term pain in the back of your neck may cause dizziness, sickness and headache. Pain in the lower part of the back may cause stomach ache, or hip or leg pain.
Cancer supportive treatment
Researchers at the University of Copenhagen are trying to demonstrate the significance and the effect of acupuncture and reflexology in the treatment of on breast cancer patients.
In my clinic I have experienced that such treatment methods are a great help to patients who have to go through chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. My own personal experience makes it very easy for me to understand the distress and the hardship that cancer patients often have to face.
Face-to-face conversations
Face-to-face conversations are a natural part of most treatment sessions. The psychological aspect is an important part of understanding and treating the client on the basis of a diagnosis – for the client and also for me as a practitioner.
Psychological problems
In your daily life you have to tackle a lot of things, and in the winter we all suffer from lack of light and sunshine. This may cause some of us to be stricken by a depression. Acupuncture, reflexology and a person taking her time to listen to you can have a positive effect on depressions of a mild degree.
Colicky babies
Many infants suffer from colic during the first months of their lives. Research shows that reflexology helps colicky babies. Through the years I have treated many babies in my clinic. It is a pleasure for me to see the baby and the whole family get relief from these problems after a few reflexology treatment sessions.
Ear pain in children
This type of ailment can also be relieved through reflexology treatments. Parents can measure the hearing ability of the child, and after a few treatment sessions the doctor can measure if there is any liquid left inside the ear canal.
To me it is important that children receive treatment in a child-friendly atmosphere, so I have toys and books in my clinic. It is okay that parents read stories to their children during treatment sessions, or that they bring some ‘bribery’ to keep their child happy. I also have it in my clinic.
I also give treatments to children with eczema and similar ailments.
Digestion problems and rheumatic disorders
To treat such ailments, I often use reflexology and acupuncture in combination. To persons suffering from chronic rheumatism these treatment sessions can have a really positive effect on their quality of life.                               Childlessness
In 2007 I went through a training course held by Dr. Qunhui Mao, who has extensive experience treating childless people with acupuncture. The course gave me in-depth knowledge of this area of treatment.
When a childless couple arrives in my clinic, I try to find out if both the man and the woman have a problem. If yes, they are both treated with reflexology and acupuncture.
If the woman is infertile, I sometimes treat her with Moxa, as this has a warming effect on the female organs.
Allergies
I have a lot of experience in treating allergies with acupuncture. Four to six treatment sessions will give many allergy-suffering persons seasonal allergy relief.
Tobacco smoking addiction
Acupuncture has proved to be an effective treatment method that has helped many people to overcome their tobacco addiction. I use NADA ear acupuncture, a very efficient addiction treatment method developed in the USA.
Guidance
I offer guidance on issues relating to lifestyle, diet, vitamins and minerals.
According to the traditional Chinese mindset, certain physical ailments are related to equivalent mental ailments. This means that such treatment will have a positive effect on both aspects.
